With three albums under her belt, New York’s Marnie Stern almost defies classification. Incorporating a unique tapping style to her guitar work, her mixture of experimental, math, noise, and indie rock well belies her cited influences – King Crimson, Talking Heads, US Maple, The Who, Don Caballero, Deerhoof and Bruce Springsteen to name a few. From that combination, you get a certain style that defies comparison.

Marnie Stern brings what should be one of 2011’s more interesting acts to Dallas’ Sons of Hermann Hall tonight for what will undoubtedly intrigue any fan of creative, imaginative music. Tera Melos and Zorch open the show.
